International Baccalaureate World School
International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme
IBPYP schools strive to develop internationally minded people through teaching and modeling the “Learner Profile.” Students are taught why they should know something, and how it connects to other subjects and the real world. This is achieved through high quality instruction and learning, and themed units of study.
IB Learners strive to be inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced, and reflective. These IB attributes are the daily expressions of the “Learner Profile,” used by teachers in their teaching and by students in their learning.
The IB Attitudes – appreciation, commitment, confidence, cooperation, creativity, empathy, enthusiasm, independence, integrity, respect, and tolerance – are the vital attitudes needed for positive interaction with others, with learning, and with the environment.
