Student Council Association
The Lower School’s and Upper School’s Student Council Associations provide opportunities for leadership and community service. Some of the service projects students participate in each year are: canned food drives, Coats for Kids, PORT, and the SPCA. These projects support Trinity’s mission to the community. The Lower School SCA sponsors are Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Miles. The Upper School SCA sponsor is Mrs. Rowlands.
This program instills in students a sense of responsibility and leadership. Each day they protect classmates going to and from school by offering assistance with arrival and dismissal procedures. Safety Patrol is sponsored by Mrs. Savage and Mrs. Davis.
In grades 5-8 an honor council is selected each year. This group of students assists with TLS Code of Conduct violations. Mrs. Janice Lively and Mrs. Carlisle Davidhizar are the advisors.
Trinity’s chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, chartered in 2002, recognizes students for academic achievement and community service. NJHS is sponsored by Mrs. Bessom. One of their projects in 2014-2015 is collecting plastic soda rings. These will be recycled to protect wildlife.
