There is a giving tool at a comfort level that is right for you:

• OUTRIGHT GIFT: Receive a tax deduction in the current tax year and support Trinity at the same time. Donations may be made by check, credit card or cash.


• MATCHING GIFTS: Check with your employer or faith community to see if a matching gift program exists. If so, please include your matching gift form with your gift. Northrop Grumman and Wachovia, for instance, have matching programs.

• MULTI-YEAR GIFTS: You can maximize your gift by making a multi-year commitment. Multi-year pledges are due in full by June 30 of each year.
• 
  
• APPRECIATED SECURITIES: You can learn how a gift of stock will benefit the school and, from a tax standpoint, you the donor, by talking with your financial advisor.
• 
  
• GIFTS FROM YOUR IRA:Again,contact your financial advisor to learn about the criteria, benefits and regulations governing a gift from your IRA. The provision of the Pension Protection Act of 2006 (PPA 2006) has been extended through 2009 for taxpayers age 70-1/2 to make a nontaxable distribution of up to $100,000 from their IRA to a charitable organization.
• A BEQUEST IN YOUR WILL: This is a true legacy gift for those who wish their caring and concern about Trinity Lutheran School to outlive them. The money to fund the bequest is not spent during the donor’s lifetime but taken from the assets after his or her death. A bequest is a practical and economical way to give a lasting gift. It also earns the donor membership in the Trinity Legacy Society.

• ALUMNI CLASS GIFTS: Contact you fellow alumni and organize a monetary class gift. Information is available through the Office of Advancement.

• MEMORIAL GIFTS OR HONORARIA: Your gift may be given in memory or in honor of someone special to you. We will notify the person or family for whom the gift has been made.
